Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Old Buckenham Primary School!

Our school vision is to ‘inspire learning for life’, empowering our pupils and ensuring they are ready and equipped with the skills to succeed not just in school, but in everyday life.

Our children are our priority, and we aim to deliver high quality teaching and learning alongside rich and truly memorable learning experiences. We believe that by engaging and challenging our children through a range of opportunities including residential trips, outdoor learning and a curriculum that is relevant to them, they will reach the highest level of personal achievement and development.

The school’s dedicated team of staff  work hard to reach high standards in everything we do. We believe a strong partnership between home and school supports good outcomes in education and therefore value your interest and support. Every child’s success at Old Buck is celebrated. We believe that you will find the school a welcoming and friendly place to be. Our entire school community is highly regarded and we are delighted you have chosen to join this.
We are a rural community primary school situated in the village of Old Buckenham, Norfolk, catering for the age range 4 to 11, a seven-year educational span. We have seven classes: one for each academic year, which enables us to deliver the EYFS and National Curriculum to classes containing single age ranges.
The school was opened in 1963 and has been extended considerably since then. We are particularly proud of our outstanding grounds including, two playgrounds, a vast games’ field, international arboretum, amphitheatre, tunnel and mound, an adventure playground and an exciting and stimulating outdoor learning area for our youngest children. We are very lucky to have such a fantastic space for the children.
Old Buckenham Primary School is part of the Sapientia Education Trust; where like-minded schools work together.
I feel immensely proud to be Headteacher here and warmly invite you to visit our school to experience life at Old Buckenham Primary School for yourself.
Please contact us to arrange a visit.
