Breakfast and After School Clubs
Welcome to Old Buckenham Bears
The club is run as an extension to Old Buckenham Primary School providing before and after school care for parents/carers of children attending the school. We maintain a close working relationship with the school in order to ensure continuity of care.We provide a safe, secure and relaxed environment for the children in our care. We endeavour to provide an atmosphere and activities similar to those found in the home.
Breakfast Club Sessions
Session A = 7.45am to 8.30am - £5.00 breakfast provided
Session B= 8.15am to 8.30am - £2.50 breakfast not provided
Afterschool Club Sessions
Session A = 3.10pm to 3.45pm = £2.50
Session B = 3.10pm to 4.30pm = £6.00
Session C = 3.10pm to 6.00pm = £10.00
All sessions include a snack
An evening meal can be provided at a cost of £2.50 per meal.
If you would like to book a place for your child at any of the above sessions please contact bears either by telephone on 01953 860380 or email dstimpson.obbears@gmail.com. Future sessions can then be booked and paid for via your child's wisepay account.
Breakfast Club
The club is open from 7.45am to 8.45am weekdays, during term time and we offer a healthy breakfast to start the school day. For breakfast we serve a choice of cereals, toast with a variety of toppings, choice of yoghurt, orange juice, apple juice or milk.
From September 2019, Breakfast Club fees will be £5 per session.
After School Club
The club is open from 3pm to 6pm weekdays, during term time. A snack and drink is offered to all members at the start of each session. An optional hot meal is also available if pre-booked.
We provide a wide range of activities, from which the children can choose activities that suit them best.
During each session the children are encouraged to take part in an adult-led activity centred on a general theme. These themes rotate on a regular basis:
- Cultural and Environmental Learning.
- Art and Craft Activities.
- Cooking and Food Related Activities.
- Sport and Physical Activities.
- Discovery and Investigation.
From September 2019, after school session fees are:
Session A: 3pm- 3:45pm – £2.50
Session B: 3pm -4:30pm – £6.00
Session C: 3pm – 6pm – £10.00
Optional Hot Meal – £2.50
Other Info
Old Buckenham Bears is registered to provide childcare for up to 16 children aged 4 to 11 years. We are registered with Ofsted as part of Old Buckenham Primary School and Nursery.
Ofsted Registration No: 120839.
To register your child/children you will need to complete a set of forms and these can be obtained by contacting Old Buckenham Bears directly or from the school office.
Child Care Vouchers
We accept childcare vouchers as payment. Paying for childcare, using special vouchers saves many parents significant sums of money each year in tax. If you are not taking advantage, check them out as a matter of urgency. They are a special government scheme operated through employers that allow you to pay for childcare from PRE-tax salary. It might not sound big, but the impact can be huge.
